HIGHLIGHTS - 2025 ASSET ANNUAL MEETING
The Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) hosted the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Association of Southern European Economic Theorists (ASSET) from October 30th to November 1st, 2025, at the UM6P Rabat Campus. This major academic event brought together distinguished researchers and scholars from various institutions, who presented and discussed their latest work in analytical and quantitative economics and econometrics.
International Conference - Africa-Europe Relations in Age of Global Reshuffle
The Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS), in collaboration with the Jean Monnet Policy Debate Network NEAR-ER, hosted an international conference titled “Africa–Europe Relations in an Age of Global Reshuffle: Diverging Visions, Shared Futures” at the UM6P Rabat Campus, from October 20th to 22nd. The opening ceremony featured remarks by our Dean Karim El Aynaoui and Walter Zampieri, Head of Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, who emphasized the importance of deepening academic and policy dialogue between Africa and Europe. Across the sessions, participants explored topics ranging from energy, risk, and justice to democracy, rule of law, governance, and security.
