Launch of the 2026 Economic Science Association (ESA) Africa Conference at UM6P Rabat Campus.
Monday, June 15th, marked the opening of the 2026 ESA Africa Conference, bringing together leading researchers and scholars in experimental and behavioral economics from across Africa and beyond. As part of the program, participants had the opportunity to discover the beautiful city of Rabat and explore its rich cultural and historical heritage.
The day featured a roundtable discussion on “From Observational to Experimental Evaluation: Lessons from a Moroccan Education Program”, alongside a series of design-talk sessions covering topics such as:
- Education, Labor, and Gender
- AI, Data, and Experimental Platforms
- Beliefs, Ambiguity, and Measurement
- Field and Community Interventions
The day concluded with an opening cocktail dinner, featuring welcoming remarks from our Dean and Executive Vice-President of UM6P, Karim El Aynaoui, who welcomed participants to the conference and highlighted the importance of advancing research and collaboration in the field.
Co-organized with the Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS), the 2026 ESA Africa Conference runs from June 15–17, 2026, and offers three days of keynote lectures, design sessions, and academic exchange aimed at advancing knowledge in experimental and behavioral economics.
