He holds a PhD in international politics (2013) from Kingston University UK. He also has an MA in Diplomatic Studies from Keele Univeristy UK and BA Social Sciences from Makerere University Uganda. He has taught a number of courses in international relations and political science in France, United Kingdom, South
Africa and Spain. His research focuses on international security especially peacekeeping and peacebuilding in Africa. He also has research interests in inter-organisational cooperation in peacekeeping and peacebuilding with specific focus on European Union, United Nations and African Union. He has published widely in journals like African security, journal of contemporary African studies, stability, Conflict security and development, Revista CIDOB d’Afers Internacionals, Africa review and politkon. He has published an edited book Africa rising navigating the nexus between rhetoric and emerging reality. He has further published book chapters with publishers like Springer, Routledge and EUNSA. His teaching specialisation at Mohammed VI University is in international relations theory, contemporary issues in international relations, political philosophy and the African state.
