Stéphane Mussard is an Affiliate Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

He defended his PhD in econometrics in 2004, at the University of Montpellier, France. He then held positions at the University of Montpellier I and Perpignan (research and teaching assistant), at CEPS/INSTEAD Luxembourg (post-doc), then associate professor at the University of Montpellier I. He is a full professor of economics at the University of Nîmes (since 2015) and he is the co-director of the CHROME laboratory (since 2019).

His research interests include social choice, welfare, inequality and poverty indices, econometrics, machine learning, deep learning, game theory, financial markets and productivity indices. He is associate editor of the Economics Bulletin and the STATS journal.
