Abdelmohssin El Mokaddem is an Assistant Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

Renowned for his expertise in agricultural economics and sustainable development. He holds a Doctorate degree and an Engineering degree in agricultural economics, both conferred by the esteemed Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II in Rabat.
With a career spanning nearly two decades, Dr. El Mokaddem has made significant contributions to the fields of agriculture, rural development, and natural resource management. His professional journey began in 2004 when he embarked on a role as a consultant with a prestigious international consulting firm specializing in agriculture and rural development, and natural ecosystems management.

In 2010, Dr. El Mokaddem transitioned to higher education, commencing his academic journey as an Engineer at the Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II. His unwavering commitment to academic excellence led him to further roles, culminating in his appointment as an Assistant Professor at the institution. In 2018, he embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. His leadership and dedication were quickly recognized, resulting in his appointment as Director of Studies in the Faculty from 2019 to late 2020.

At present, Dr. El Mokaddem’s research endeavors revolve around the intricate interplay between economy, society, environment, and natural resources. His work delves into system dynamics and system thinking to explore how ecosystems, natural resource utilization, and economic activities interconnections shape the path to sustainable development, shedding light on innovative policies that can transform the way we approach and navigate the multifaceted challenges of sustainable development, particularly in developing countries.
