The Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences is organizing an online conference on Tuesday, June 15th at 06:30 p.m. under the theme « Latin America today: a view on its politics and economics ».
About the speaker:
Andrés Rozental was a career diplomat for more than 35 years, having served his country as Mexico´s ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1995 to 1997, as Deputy Foreign Minister (1988-1994) and as Ambassador to Sweden (1983-1988). He was Mexico’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva (1982-1983) and held senior responsibilities within the Mexican Foreign Ministry. Andrés founded the Mexican Council on Foreign Relation and since 1994 has the lifetime rank of Eminent Ambassador. Currently, Andrés holds non-executive board positions in several multinational companies. He is the lead non-executive Board member at HSBC Mexico and chairs the bank’s Remuneration and Succession Committee as well as being on the Audit and Risk Committee. He also currently holds advisory or Board positions with Brookfield Asset Management, Toyota and Ingredion. He is President of his own consulting firm, Rozental & Asociados, which specializes in advising multinational companies on their corporate strategies in Mexico and Latin America. He is also active in a number of non-governmental organizations and projects relating to global governance, migration policy, climate change, Latin American politics and the promotion of democracy.
