Contenu du cours / Course content
This course will provide the students with an introduction to lobbying and government affairs. It will explain how lobbying can shape public policy or influence state foreign policy. This course will look also to the means lobbyists use in order to achieve their goal and the scope of their activities as well as their limits.

Objectifs du cours / Course objectives
- Understand the concept of lobbying: its different components and its complexities
- Identify the relations between lobbying and governments and recognize how lobbying shape public policy
- Recognize the challenges met by diplomacy when addressing global issues and how some states use lobbying in order to influence other states foreign policy
- Explain the role of Non State Actors in shaping international policies
- Attain a more complex understanding of the role of Lobbying in EU
- Explore the relations between Media and Lobbying
