The doctorate in futures studies is a three-year research-based multidisciplinary doctoral program offered jointly by the Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences (FGSES) of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (Cnam) in France. This program aims to produce specialists in futures studies, able to engage with the discipline professionally moving from each student’s unique background in humanities or social sciences. Through the exploration of the theories, methods, and uses of futures studies, students will be empowered to observe emerging issues, evaluate perspectives through varying cultural and disciplinary perspectives, then envision and facilitate preferred futures. Students with a Master’s Degree but with no prior formal studies or work in futures may apply for admission.

Prospective PhD students will have a competitive financial aid to help fund their PhD study during their stay in the program.
Candidates are invited to apply not later than 14 May 2021 at 23:59. The application package should include (i) a detailed CV (ii) a copy of diplomas (Bachelor and master’s degrees); (iii) official transcripts (bachelor and master’s degrees); (iv) statement of purpose; (v) a research proposal (max. 1000 words, with an optional 300 words abstract); (vi) research documents (such as dissertations, papers and research reports).
