Affiliate Professor

Abdesselam Fazouane is an Affiliate Professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

He is a career professor of higher education at the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics as well as a prolific researcher in gender, economics, actuarial science, statistics, demography and sustainable development.

Pr. Fazouane has served as Director of the Institute from 2013 to 2017 as well as Lead of its GEAS3D laboratory and Head of its Department of Demography.

Pr. Fazouane holds a degree in Statistical Engineering from the INSEA and a PhD in Demography from the Catholic University of Leuven. He is an expert in statistical survey methodologies and polls, particularly among households and businesses. He has conducted several consultations with the World Bank, the UN and other international organizations.
