Objectifs du cours / Course objectives
The course aims to introduce the Asian World to students in its different aspects, but also to bring essentially to understand in details the nature of relations between African and Asian countries. The course will bring the students to follow the evolution since Bandung conference. Africa-Asia relations are on the increase. Beyond Africa’s traditional trading partners, there are increasing economic and political relations between Africa and Asia that deserves attention in both trends: the bilateral aspect and the multilateral one including TICAD, FOCAC, India Africa Summit, KOEAC, and the emerging ASEAN-Africa evolution. The increasing Chinese presence in Africa will obtain a significant place in the architecture of the course.
