The Executive Certificate in Strategic Analysis Training Course is designed to improve the analytical capabilities of 15-20 participants through focused, intensive practical training and personal tuition. It is intended for analysts, executives and officials working in a range of environments, including in political analysis, risk and threat analysis and corporate intelligence analysis.
This course will develop participants’ capacity for strategic thinking, equipping them with the skills to conduct strategic analysis. This will provide organizations with the ability to think more strategically, enabling more efficient management of risks, Improved strategic planning.
The course provides the instruments to enable the collection and analysis of information to enable strategic decision making. It also provides guidance on how to inculcate this into organizations. It will look at the various risks which organizations face, from strategic, to economic and legal threats.
The course is taught over three weeks. Each week builds on the content of the previous week and culminates in a bespoke simulation exercise in which participants are required to apply the taught material and skills while confronted with a realistic crisis scenario. Throughout the three weeks, participants – working in small groups and under the tuition of the course team – are also required to come up with, develop, implement and then present their own analysis project.
Crisis Simulation Structure
Participants will immerse themselves in three (3) interactive crisis simulation exercises at the end of each week that require them to work in teams, engage with role players, and apply the analysis methods covered throughout the training.
